Dune Allen is located along the west end of Scenic Hwy 30A. Its communities, are approximately 16 miles east of Destin and 35 miles west of Panama City Beach in Northwest Florida. Dune Allen Beach is an uncomplicated, slow-paced beach community.
The history of Dune Allen is evident in it's varying styles of architecture. Among the new modern beach homes there are still the little concrete block cottages tucked away. Vizcaya at Dune Allen is a strictly Mediterranean-style beach-side gated neighborhood whose homes are finished in white stucco and red tile roofs. Stallworth Preserve in nearby Beach Highlands is another beach-front neighborhood whose homes are a mix of Mediterranean and British Colonial styles.
Dune Allen and nearby Beach Highlands are located along Lake Stallworth, Lake Allen and Oyster Lake, three of the 11 coastal dune lakes along the beaches of South Walton. These rare coastal dune lakes are found only in Northwest Florida and remote portions of Africa and Australia.
Dune Allen is home to one of the most popular restaurants on 30A, Stinky's Fish Camp. The Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club is an 18-hole golf course with views of the Gulf of Mexico. The Club's restaurant, Vue on 30A, is open to the public and takes full advantage of the Gulf view from every seat in the house.
Dune Allen Beach consits of single family homes and home sites and some smaller condominium projects on the beach. Dune Allen Beach is a great option for those interested in property that does not belong to a homeowners association.
